Anxious and disobedient :) Juan Felipe is devoted in the studio to deal with anxiety and melancholia throug the music producer “Monsieur Philippe” He’s often expressed as satirical, maximalist, and subconscious; His music is characterized by edge, rhythm, sampling, satire, the contrast of chaos and structure, and is inspired by Jungle/ Tekno/ Bass/ Ambient/ Latin / Dub/ Noise and story telling that is often hard to classify making it genre fluid. He is a Sound Artist, Mixing & Mastering Engineer, DJ and Screen Composer. Juan Felipe grew up between Cali and Medellin, Colombia, and as a teenager he played music as a clarinetist. Monsieur Philippe produces deconstructed club music. His other monikers include “Arequipe” / “El Jardinero” / “Dj Cultural Hegemoney” and the duo “Döner Dubzz”. Previous and future collaborations have offered extra room for creative explorations since he moved to Berlin in 2022 to study a bachelors in music production.
Felipe's latest EP “Yes Lord!!!” was released in Shepard Tone Recordings (11/10/2024), the label run by the British musician “Cocktail Party Effect” marks a new pivotal phase in his sound.

Ansioso y desobediente :) Juan Felipe se dedica en el estudio a lidiar con la ansiedad y la melancolía a través del productor musical "Monsieur Philippe". A menudo se expresa como satírico, maximalista y subconsciente; su música se caracteriza por la vanguardia, el ritmo, el sampling, la sátira, el contraste entre el caos y la estructura, y está inspirado en el Jungle/Tekno/Bass/Ambient/Latin/Dub/Noise y una narrativa que a menudo es difícil de clasificar, lo que la hace género fluido.
