Ungovernable and disobedient, Juan Felipe has devoted his time in the studio to cultivate his alias, Monsieur Philippe. In the process, he's been finding his sonic universe: Chaos in order. He is a musician, sound designer, mastering engineer, and new media artist. Felipe grew up between Cali and Medellin, Colombia, and as a teenager he understood music as a clarinetist. Monsieur Philippe makes Deconstructed club music that maintains a perpetual motion - a fusion of psychedelic, dystopian, and experimental sound design, syncopated or swinging grooves, unexpected dissonances and magnetic low ends.
His other monikers “AiFelipe”, “Arequipe”, and “El Jardinero” as well as collaborations with Colombian based Juanito State , and AdJust in Time (Aka Psypher), the duo “Döner Dubzz” and many others since he moved to Berlin in 2022 to study music have offered extra room for more creative explorations.
Felipe's label Ser Ïo was created in 2023 and has served as a home for his last Ep “The Lizard of Ost” released as Monsieur Philippe. It marks a pivotal phase in Felipe's discipline of sound alchemy, showcasing the intricacies and ambitions within his music and its continuously exploratory journey.

Felipe creció entre Cali y Medellín, Colombia, y desde adolescente entendió la música como clarinetista. Monsieur Philippe hace música de club deconstruida que mantiene un movimiento perpetuo: una fusión de diseño de sonido psicodélico, distópico y experimental, ritmos sincopados o oscilantes, disonancias inesperadas y bajos magnéticos.
Sus otros apodos "AiFelipe", "Arequipe" y "El Jardinero", así como colaboraciones con Juanito State, con sede en Colombia, AdJust in Time (Aka Psypher), su dúo "Döner Dubzz" y muchos otros desde que se mudó a Berlín en 2022 para estudiar música le han ofrecido el espacio adicional para exploraciones más creativas.
El sello de Felipe, Ser Ïo, se creó en 2023 y ha servido de hogar para su último Ep “The Lizard of Ost” lanzado como Monsieur Philippe. Marca una fase fundamental en la disciplina de alquimia del sonido de Felipe, mostrando las complejidades y ambiciones dentro de su música y su continuo viajeexploratorio.

Released music"The Lizard of Ost" is Philippe’s first solo EP, and marks an important diversion in his sound design vision. A radical syncopation between broken beats, nuclear textures, and cavernous basslines.

The first international release in collaboration with his friend, Juanito State. Obscura, the label owned by the Italian DJ/Producer Fedele Ladisa, released Frutos Brutos in April 2022. “The Colombian connection bears fruit yet again, providing a rich, mass-moving, and distinct sound that has caught the ears of global dancers.
